The world’s most stylish feline just recently got a make-over – in denim. Sanrio, the proprietor of the Hello Kitty character, partnered with Japanese denim label EDWIN, in creating a novelty collection for ladies – Denim Hello Kitty Plush Figures. Composed out of the same raw denim as EDWIN’s jeans, alternate between the exterior and interior of the fabric. Authentic rivets are added to hold up the butterfly bow on it left ear, as well as functional rear pockets. EDWIN trademarked “W” stitch works are found on the pockets and the feet of the doll. In addition, a leather label patch, marking the collaboration, is sewn on Hello Kitty’s favorite snack, a denim apple.
The plush figure is available in 2 sizes, Small (YNAK91-G220) at 18cm or 7-inch, and Large (YNAK91-G450) at 32cm or 12.5-inch. Both are available at EDWIN’s official online store for a limited time only.
The ribboned kitty with the highest global profile from Sanrio celebrates its 35th anniversary this year but doesn’t look a day older. To celebrate her big three-five, the team has partnered up with Reebok to create collaborative kicks for this great landmark birthday. Based on a wildly popular women’s Freestyle Hi, the hi-top sneakers get kawaii (Japanese for adorable) with a Hello Kitty graphic upper and a lace hardware that is created based on Hello Kitty’s famous red ribbon. The collaborative kicks come in two colorways, white and black and the graphics are subtly handled in grey and black outlines. For fans of the Japanese kitty, the kicks are now available for pre-order online at Flauge. > Reebok
